Med-Legal is in the process of winding down operations.

Thank you for the years of support.

Med-Legal has proudly served the Workers’ Compensation community for over 35 years. We will be winding down business operations by no later than February 15, 2022 at the latest.

While we will no longer be accepting new orders, Med-Legal is actively fulfilling and delivering records for orders received through 12/17/2021. Additionally, we will continue to support a few key technology based services through the wind down period.

1.) What is a “wind down” and why is this happening?2021-12-21T22:12:58+00:00
  • This “wind down” is our orderly process of closing Med-Legal. We are planning on stopping all operations, other than collections, within 60 days. However, this is subject to change based on the status of our business and may occur sooner than projected.
  • We expect to close operations on, if not before February 15, 2022.
2.) What will happen to my orders and filings?2021-12-21T22:42:57+00:00
  • Orders, records and filings will continue to be accessible throughout the remaining lifetime of our platforms (Zing™, Evedent™, PerfectFiler™ and PerfectMatters™). However, these orders will be “read-only”, meaning that no further actions may be made on behalf of them.
    • Evedent™ and Zing™ will continue to function until January 15, 2021. During this time, all data will continue to be accessible- however we are no longer accepting new orders.
    • PerfectFiler™ and PerfectMatters™ has stopped accepting new orders as of December 17, 2021. Since this data is stored on your local server, all existing data will continue to be accessible through the software installed on your device. However, we intend to discontinue supporting the software on December 30, 2021 meaning that no new filings can be processed through the software after this point in time.
3.) Are we still accepting orders from clients?2021-12-21T22:06:04+00:00
  • No, unfortunately we are no longer accepting any new orders from clients. We are still processing orders that have already been submitted as of December 17, 2021. We plan to obtain and deliver these records to clients based upon what has been subpoenaed to date.

  • At this point in time, we are continuing to accept filings placed through our platforms.
    • Orders for filings placed through PerfectFiler™ and PerfectMatters™ will be accepted until December 30, 2021
    • Orders for filings placed through Evedent™ and Zing™ will be accepted until January 15, 2022
5.) How long will I be able to access Evedent™, PerfectFiler™, PerfectMatters™, and Zing™?2021-12-21T22:17:29+00:00
  • PerfectFiler™ and PerfectMatters™ will continue to allow you to access your data and information stored within the software located within your device. However, we have ceased to accept orders as of December 17, 2021. On December 30, 2021 filings and all additional support services of the platform will be discontinued.
  • Evedent™ and Zing™ are no longer accepting orders for records as of December 17, 2021. You will be able to continue accessing your account and data stored within these platforms until January 15, 2022. Afterwards you will be provided with instructions on downloading all your data and records so that you continue to have access to all of your information we have stored within our servers.
6.) What data and information will I be able to export from my accounts?2021-12-21T21:54:16+00:00
  • We are dedicated to providing you with all your items that are currently being stored with Med-Legal. This includes all records, filings, ratings and other items associated to your accounts. Please see below for instructions on accessing your data.
7.) What will happen to my data stored within PerfectFiler™ or PerfectMatters™?2021-12-21T22:19:57+00:00
  • All PerfectFiler and PerfectMatters data is stored within your local server. You will have continued access and the ability to export all your data through the software installed within your device.
  • As of December 17, 2021 new orders will no longer be accepted through either software. Additionally the ability to submit filings and all other features located within both softwares will be deactivated on 12/30/2021.
8.) What will happen to my data stored within Zing™ and Evedent™?2021-12-21T21:56:37+00:00
  • Evedent™ and Zing™ are no longer accepting orders for records as of December 17, 2021.
  • You will be able to continue accessing your account and data stored within these platforms until January 15, 2022.
  • After January 15, 2022 you will be provided with instructions on downloading all your data and records so that you continue to have access to all of your information we have stored within our servers.
9.) What happens after the 60-day wind-down period?2021-12-21T22:20:00+00:00
  • We expect to fully end operations by the end of the 60-day period, except for perhaps a small team of individuals focused on collections only.
